When hired to resolve their space shortage, it was eventually determined that the right answer was an additional building. By working closely with a local architect, engineers and contractor, MDG created a new structure that would enhance and reflect the unique corporate culture. MGD developed a floor plate to accommodate the company’s office standards, carried out a complete interior design and worked with the engineers to ensure that the building could be expanded by up to three more floors. All administrative functions were relocated to the new building including centralized meeting facilities. The energy efficient design reduced electrical usage by 25%. McGregor Design Group assisted in the development of new workplace and furniture standards, and negotiated special supply prices, guaranteeing good value for years to come. The new facility promised to manage the space requirements economically, and its attractive design immediately contributed to recruitment success.
